The KUA is the flexible extraction arm for capturing welding fumes, gases, and oil mist directly at the source. Unique to the KUA is the combination of an inner and outer arm made of smooth aluminum tubing, connected by the distinctive central hinge. The externally adjustable elbow joint and the spring-supported hinge with double ball bearings make positioning the arm a simple one-handed movement. This allows you to position the arm exactly where you need it.

On this page, you can choose between two models: the KUA-160 for small to medium-sized workplaces and the KUA-200 for medium to large-sized workplaces with intensive fume generation.

KUA-160 (Ø 160 mm)

The versatile choice for maintenance and production welding and
workbench applications. Available in lengths of 2, 3, or 4 meters and can
be mounted in both standing and suspended configurations. Suitable for
medium to large quantities of welding fumes, gases, and oil mist. Recommended
airflow 800 to 1200 m³/h.

KUA-200 (Ø 200 mm)

The heavy-duty choice for medium to large workplaces
where intensive welding takes place. The larger tube diameter of 200 mm provides a
significantly higher airflow than the KUA-160, making it ideal for
industrial environments with high smoke generation. Available in 3 or 4
meters, exclusively for suspended mounting, with a standard built-in shut-off valve.
Recommended airflow up to a maximum of 1600 m³/h.

Both models achieve a maximum reach of up to 8.5 meters with an extension arm.

Product description

The KUA is a heavy-duty family of aluminum tube extraction arms, designed to capture welding fumes, gases, and oil mist directly at the source. The range offers two diameters, allowing you to match the arm to your workload: the KUA-160 with a 160 mm (6 in) tube for small to medium-sized workplaces, and the KUA-200 with a 200 mm (8 in) tube, providing a significantly higher airflow for medium to large workplaces with intensive fume generation. Whichever model you choose, you'll get the same proven construction and the airflow demanded by challenging extraction applications.

What sets the KUA apart is its combination of smooth aluminum inner and outer tubes, an externally mounted center joint that can be adjusted without tools, and spring-assisted joints with double ball bearings. This construction allows the arm to move precisely with one hand, stay in place once positioned, and reduce user fatigue during long shifts. The aluminum tube keeps the arm relatively light, maximizes airflow, and limits noise levels.

The hood is one of the KUA's most distinctive features. With an opening of 340 mm (13.4 in), movable up to 85° in four directions, the hood positions itself exactly where extraction is needed. The 360° ring handle gives the user complete control from any angle, while the removable hood with safety mesh protects the user and simplifies maintenance. A sealed shut-off and control damper ensures reliable airflow regulation. The KUA-200 includes this control damper as standard, while the shut-off damper is optional for the KUA-160.

The KUA combines with powerful Plymovent filter units and fans, including the FUA, WallPro, SCS, and MDB systems. For workplaces requiring a larger reach, combine the arm with the FlexMax extension crane (up to 8.5 m / 28 ft total reach) or the wall-mounted NEC extension crane to cover large or multiple work areas.
