DraftMax - Downdraft Table

DraftMax - Downdraft Table

Downdraft table with integrated extraction

Work cleaner and safer with the DraftMax. This robust workbench combines a fixed workstation with effective extraction, directly extracting welding fumes and grinding dust through the work surface. By capturing smoke and dust at the source, you prevent harmful particles from spreading throughout the workshop and significantly improve air quality.

Thanks to its integrated design, you don't need additional extraction systems or complex installations, which ensures an efficient and organized workspace. The DraftMax is therefore a practical solution for daily use in workshops where welding, grinding or cutting is continuously performed, and where safety, productivity and clean air must go hand in hand.

Suitable for:

  • Welding (MIG/MAG, TIG, electrode)
  • Grinding and deburring
  • (Plasma) cutting
Item number: 9002
$6,013.00 USD

How the DraftMax downdraft table works:

A DraftMax downdraft table is a workbench with integrated extraction that captures smoke, dust, and fumes directly at the source. During welding, grinding, or cutting, contaminated airflows are drawn downwards through the perforated work surface (downdraft) and backwards through an extraction panel (backdraft), effectively removing both falling and rising smoke from the breathing zone. Underneath the work surface, sparks are first caught by a spark arrestor for added safety, after which the air passes through filters that remove fine particles from the air. The collected dust is gathered in bins that are easy to empty. Depending on the system, the cleaned air is then either blown back into the workspace or exhausted to the outside. This creates a compact and efficient solution that ensures cleaner air directly at the workplace.

Frequently Asked Questions about the
MobilePro Welding Fume Extractor

What is a downdraft table and how does it work?

A downdraft table is a workbench that extracts smoke, dust, and fumes directly at the source. Air is extracted both through the work surface (downdraft) and the back panel (backdraft) for maximum efficiency.

What applications is the DraftMax suitable for?

The DraftMax is ideal for:

  • Welding
  • Grinding
  • Cutting

Depending on the model, it is suitable for light to intensive applications.

Does the DraftMax have a built-in filter system?

That depends on the model:

  • Some versions have integrated filters
  • Others (such as the Eco) are connected to an external filter system

This makes it possible to tailor the solution to your workshop.

What are the advantages of backdraft and downdraft extraction?

The combination provides much higher capture:

  • ±80% through the back wall
  • ±20% through the work surface

This ensures smoke and dust are removed more efficiently before they spread.

Is the working height adjustable?

Yes, the working height of the DraftMax is adjustable. This means you always work ergonomically and comfortably, regardless of the application.

How easy is the DraftMax to maintain?

The DraftMax is designed for easy maintenance:

  • Filters and dust drawers are accessible from the front
  • Long filter life due to large filter surface
  • Maintenance can be performed quickly and without downtime
Can I use the DraftMax without an extraction system?

Only certain models with integrated filters can operate as standalone units.
Models without a filter (such as the Eco) must be connected to an external extraction and filter system.
